Sorry to hear that the Nest app is giving you troubles on your new phone, I'm sure it's confusing, but I'm happy to help.
Would you mind letting me know what happens when you are trying to use the app? Are you able to open the app? Does it give you a loading screen or freeze? What are the issues specifically that you're having.

so the app was opening and appeared to work but was not talking to the nest thermostat itself. So I couldn’t turn heating on via the app or on the way home for example. Today I’ve tried it again and it’s started to work again but I don’t know why it stopped and has started again ?
Hmm, that is definitely odd that it is all of a sudden working again. Unfortunately that's hard to look into if it is working again and we don't have a reason for it.
I'm going to go ahead and close this thread since it is working now, but please feel free to create a new thread if the problem ever arises again.
