My new nest is connected to WiFi and I still can not ad it to my existing account

Apologies for the delay in response, and sorry to hear about your connectivity issues! That's definitely frustrating. Let's see what's going on here. 
 
Here's our guide with troubleshooting steps, but with restarting and reconnecting, it might be a different issue affecting it. 
 
If the above steps don't reconnect your thermostat to the app, please provide the following details so I can further help out. 
  • Which model of thermostat do you have? (Nest Thermostat, E, or Learning) 
  • Are there any specific error codes you're receiving either on the display or in the Nest/Google Home app? 
  • Is your thermostat connected to the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz WiFi band? 
  • How far in relation to the router is the thermostat placed? 
  • Is your Nest account migrated to your Google account?
