Do you have a Heat Pump?

You should have electric heat coils that come on in very cold weather when heat pump cannot provide enough heat.

You need to set the heat pump balance setting to max comfort so it uses the electric heat coils instead of trying to run the outdoor heat pump in very cold temps.

The error code means:

Check power to your Y wire
These steps cover the following help codes: E10, E30, E66, E80, E116, E160, E196, E296, M13, N254 and N262.

You’ll see this code if your air conditioner has tripped a safety cut-out switch that prevents your air conditioner from turning on in very cold weather, or your system might need maintenance.

Hello folks,

I'm dropping by to see how I could help.

Thanks for your expertise, @Houptee.

@Mmccorm, to help identify potential issues, could you check your actual thermostat's power info on its "Equipment" settings? Also, I found an article with additional information about the message code you're getting. Let us know if you need more help.

Regards,

Mark
