NEST 4 is annoying

I hate the new set up, it’s super annoying!
I can hardly find Gen 3 anywhere and it won’t work with the new ultra-low nox furnaces.
Gen 4 won’t work on the NEST app which is better than google home. 

And now we have to use the google home app to set it up?! 

How is that supposed to work when I’m already logged in to my personal google app?
Or we have to set it up with the customer, who typically isn’t around or doesn’t have Wi-Fi set up yet. 
Gen 4 definitely fixed some of the previous problems but created new ones by forcing the new agenda.

Currently, you will find only the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th generation) and the Google Thermostat on the official Google Store.

To answer your second question: yes, that is correct. The Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th generation) only works with the Google Home app. You will need a Wi-Fi connection and be near the thermostat device to set it up.

Could you please tell me the labels of your wires? This will help me check compatibility with your HVAC system.
