Neat E thermostat and home app

Bsl

I have had the NEST E for over a year and it worked fine with the nest app. Then we changed our Internet providers so we reinstalled the NEST E. This time we read to use the home app. We did as this is our second home. Since then the nest has a mind of its own. I have the heat set at 62. It normally keeps that setting during the day, but at night and early morning hours for some reason it moves up to 69. I’ve checked everything. The home/assist is turned off. Can someone please help me?

If you want your heat set to 62 all the time, perhaps you could set the Eco temperature to 62 and then turn Eco on.  That doesn't answer the question of why your Nest is behaving badly, of course, but might get around the problem.

Are you talking about the Google Nest Thermostat? It is the only thermostat that you can use the Google Home app to set it up. The Nest Thermostat E can only be set up using the Nest App.

Yes. With the nest e I can use both the google home and nest app. Both work.

Hi Bsl,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about what's happening.

Have you tried setting up your Eco temperature? Also, try to check the temperature schedule as it might have these schedules being set, thus this behavior.

Best regards,

Ryan
