Need to update wifi netid on Nest Thermostat

Hi, my Wifi network was just updated and now has a new netid and pswd. When I looked at the help site, it showed this....

Change Wi-Fi network name

Requirements:
  • Network names must be between 1 and 31 characters.
  • Make sure there isn’t an accidental space at the beginning or end of your network name.
  1. Open the Google Home app giuseppe_0-1632252621014.jpeg

    .
  2. Tap Wi-Fi giuseppe_1-1632252621016.png

     Settings giuseppe_3-1632252621017.png

    .
  3. Enter a new network name.
  4. Tap Save.

But when I go to Google Home and Select the Thermostat....there is no "Wifi" setting to click.

Those instructions are if you have a Nest \ Google Wifi setup, if you are not using one of those, then it would not appear in your Google Home app.

To change the Wifi on your thermostat, you need to do it on the thermostat itself:

Hi, thank you for the response. I did try all of these steps on the thermostat itself the other day and it still didn't work. I then tried to remove the batteries and put them back in and try all the steps again.....no luck.

What finally did fix it was **doing a factory reset**  (which I was hoping to avoid) reconfiguring and then repeating these steps one more time.

Thanks again for your assistance!
