Nest 3rd Gen setup for a condo building with a central boiler?

Hi,

My parents building has a central boiler that has a valve in each condo's furnace room.

The nest has been installed for 3 years, but they somehow programmed in 100 different heat temps. So to clear it out, we did a reset on the unit.

We did not realize the furnace was not a gas unit and had the boiler valve for the heating element.

The nest has the following wires: G, Y1, RC, W1 hooked up.

We made no changes to the wiring.

How do we program the nest to work with this system?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi dbmill3,

Thanks for reaching out! I understand you need to change the settings to work with your system, and I'm happy to assist you.

To change and set up the correct settings for your Google Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen, you'll need to perform a factory reset:

  • On the thermostat display:
    • Go to Settings > Reset > All Settings.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Let me know if this helps!

Regards,

Manuel
