I am trying to follow the Google Home App steps below to troubleshoot my heating/cooling "reversing" issue.
Why aren't these options available to me. I just downloaded the Google Home App...so maybe the directions below aren't applicable?
Under Step 4, Tap Thermostat.... there is no "Heat Pump" option.
Under my "Thermostat" the setting options are:
Temperature Units
Click Sound
Brightness
Farsight
Lock
Wiring (no Heat pump option under that either)
Advanced configuration (no Heat pump option under that either)
System details (which doesn't "open" at all no matter how many times I click it)
I'm just so frustrated....

If your system starts to blow cool air when your Nest thermostat is in heat mode (or if it blows warm air when it's in cool mode), change the settings for orientation of your heat pump.
Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) and Nest Thermostat
.
.
You can indicate what system should go with unspecified wires. Empty terminals will show “-”.

Is this a new installation or one that was working but isn't now?
Post a picture of the Nests baseplate wiring here.
If you still have it, post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here too.

Hi Patrick
I've basically moved on from the above steps.
What I BELIEVE is my situation:
I have a heat pump, which apparently means the "normal" wiring instructions for my new Nest 4th Generation (upgrade from Gen 2) need to be changed to incorporate the O/B connection.
This is also how the Gen 2 was wired.
WHY I HAVE TO SPEND HOURS RESEARCHING THIS INSTEAD OF GOOGLE/NEST KNOWING THIS SITUATION AND NOT INCORPORATING IT INTO THEIR INSTRUCTIONS IS RIDICULOUS!!
So, I removed the blue wire from the C and moved to the O/B, like the prior thermostat.
This time, however, the 4th Gen is giving me a power issue error code (N410).
I tested the a/c and the air blew cool, so I don't know if I can just ignore this error code or if I will have to purchase some Nest Power Connector or have the a/c guy run another wire.
AGAIN, RIDICULOUS THAT THIS INFORMATION IS NOT STIPULATED UPON PURCHASE.
Thank you for any additional guidance and for reading my rant.
