Hi all,
I’m having some trouble with my Nest 4th Generation device when trying to connect it to my new Laptop Lenovo. I’m not sure if it’s a compatibility issue or something else, but I could really use some advice.
Here’s what’s going on:
Connection Drops: The Nest device keeps disconnecting from my laptop randomly, even though the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable on other devices.
Setup Problems: During setup or when trying to make changes, my laptop has trouble detecting the Nest device or loses connection halfway through the process.
I’ve tried resetting both the Nest device and my laptop, along with making sure everything is up-to-date, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced similar connectivity issues with a Nest device? Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated!

What are you using your laptop for?
You need to use the Google Home app to set the 4th Gen up.
