I have been through all of the troubleshooting multiple times - it is connected to my wifi network and working - I even un installed the nest app and reloaded it - it found my one thermostat with no issue but can not find my new thermostat that was a replacement for a broken thermostat that I removed from the app. QR code or Entry code will not work.

Thanks guys, I spent weeks rechecking periodically going through all of the troublespot checking steps - not sure if Google had to register the new device but for some reason yesterday the steps to connect to my app went smoothly and the replacement device is now connected. No idea why what worked yesterday and did not work before, but thanks for support. Lesson learned - try at least 50 times over the course of weeks before you give up! We can close this out.
