Nest App linked to thermostat

Curious01

I set the water heater to turn on at a set time through my Nest App on my android phone. The water heater does not turn on as expected. So I override it for, say, an hour. At the end of the hour the water heating ends. So  I can't seem to pre determine the start time. Any ideas why?

Thank you for the clarification @Curious01.

Can you try to create the schedule from the thermostat to see if it would be followed?

Hi, thank you for all the information @Curious01 . I would be happy to try and assist.

Just to check, does the hot water not activate at any of the schedule points you have set? Does it activate every time you manually boost it?

Hi thank you. Just sent a reply but not sure if got sent. Briefly, the water heater seems not to respond from my phone app at any time. I always have to boost from my phone app.

Hey @Curious01,

Would you mind clarifying one more time? It doesn't work from the phone app, but it does when you do it manually from the thermostat?

I only use my phone app for this. So, setting up the schedule from my phone does not seem to activate the boiler automatically. I end up having to boost from the phone app. So question is: why can't I set a schedule that works for hot water from mentioned?
