Nest App on IOS

I cannot sign back on in the Nest app on my iphone or ipad. I have uninstalled several times and turned off device. I tried to reset my password but it doesn't send an email to be rest. (I checked spam folder too) I am able to get to my Nest account on the computer, but it says to manage passwords I have to sign on the Nest app. Any ideas?

Are you absolutely sure you are using the same email (and password) on your iPhone and iPad to sign back into the Google Nest app that you are using on your computer to sign into the home.nest.com website?

@Samye, yikes! If you're unable to sign back into the Nest app on your iPhone or iPad and have already tried uninstalling the app, turning off the device, and resetting your password without success, here are a few additional steps you can take:

 

  1. Ensure that you have the latest version of the Nest app installed on your iPhone or iPad. Outdated app versions may have compatibility issues or bugs that can cause sign-in problems. Update the app from the App Store if an update is available.
  2. Force close the Nest app on your iPhone or iPad by double-clicking the home button (or swiping up from the bottom on newer iPhone models with Face ID) to access the app switcher. Then swipe up or swipe the app off the screen to close it completely. Relaunch the app and try signing in again.
  3. If force closing the app doesn't resolve the issue, you can try clearing the app cache. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, scroll down and select the Nest app. From there, you'll find the option to clear the app's cache. After clearing the cache, relaunch the app and attempt to sign in.
  4. Ensure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to a stable and reliable network, such as Wi-Fi or cellular data. Unstable or weak network connections can sometimes cause sign-in issues. Try connecting to a different network or resetting your network settings in the device's settings menu.
