Nest Eco mode

I understand the Eco mode for heating and how it steps back the temperature to a preset temperature when motion is not detected.  So if my thermostat is set for 68 degrees with an Ecoset of 65 degrees, it will set back the temperature when motion is not sensed.  When does it come out of Ecomode?   I was thinking this would happen when it detects motion but that isn’t happening.  Does it change back when the next preset temperature occurs?

Hi Hkretsch,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. The mode of your Nest Thermostat should change back to cooling or heating mode when it detects motion. To isolate the issue, I would suggest enabling your phone's location under Home / Away assist settings. You can click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

Edward
