Okay so I wake up this morning and my thermostat is reading and indoor temp of 119 degrees. The house is acutally 55 degrees. The heat isnt coming on due to the thermostat thinking it's 119 degrees. I've did a factory reset and it's still reading this crazy high temp.

Hey NOOPPs,
A few question:
What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
When was the thermostat installed?
Where did you install your thermostat? (in a room and on a wall or stand)
Do you have other active Nest thermostats? If yes: Do they show the same issue?
When did the issue start?
How big is the difference between the readout of the Nest thermostat and your thermometer or other thermostats?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes: Would you mind listing them?
Give these steps a try:
Go to Settings > Technical Info > Network.
Check for the Signal strength value.
Restart the thermostat
Turn on Sunblock
Check if the thermostat is near a heat source
Keep us posted.
Best

The problem has been solved. Something inside the thermostat was overheating. After removing it I could feel that I was very hot to the touch. I restarted and reset it before realizing the heat coming from the device was causing the problem. It's in the garbage now.

Hey there NOOPPs,
Awesome — glad to hear that your issue is fixed. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
Best,
Mel
