Nest Learning Thermostat Causing Issues with Reversing Valve on Trane Heat Pump?

Every third time my A/C starts I hear this horrible banging/grinding/ripping noise for 3 - 6 seconds.  I've had numerous experts out to find the cause/solution to no avail.  When the heat pump starts there is no extra sound.  No extra sound when the fan only runs.

Any suggestions?...

Having your system make noises is not ideal, sorry to hear this is the case. Let's see if we can find out what's causing the issue. Do you mind me asking if you have a Common/C wire installed to your system? When you had the tech come out, did they manage to check the power being drawn to the device? Please let me know, so I can help assist you further.
