Nest Learning Thermostat blinking red and green, will not charge.

Pro installed thermostats.  One blinks red and green.  It will not charge. Swapped for another Google thermostat, which worked fine.  So that seems to mean the wiring is correct.  What do I do next?

Hello NJN,

It seems you're experiencing some charging issues with your Nest thermostat. I'd be more than happy to assist you. First, let me confirm a few details. Is the display screen on your thermostat still visible, or does it completely refuse to power on even after attempting to charge it? Also, have you considered manually charging the thermostat using a USB cable connected to a wall outlet? What type of Nest thermostat are you using?

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond

Hi Edmond. We fully charged the nest. We out it on the base. It lit up. Then it went dark and has stayed dark all day. It remains dark.

This went on for about a week. We are manually charging the thermostat and will know in the morning.  It is a Nest learning model.

Google Nest Team - I replaced the non-responsive Nest Learning hub with a new one - which worked.  The original will not work.  Unfortunately, while troubleshooting with you, my time to return this defective item to Lowe’s expired (2/8/24). As the thermostat never worked and therefore never connected, I can’t get through your Warranty checker.  I have the original box and a complete device set - but it has never worked and should be returnable to you,
