First off, let me say that trying to get assistance for a product could not be more frustrating than it has been with Nest. Even filling this form out doesn’t make sense. I don’t have a platform issue ( I do, and have had one for months as mentioned below, but that’s not why I’m writing). I believe Google’s primary tactic is that we all just give up and live with it, which I have done off and on since purchasing this product about a year and a half ago. I had repeated issues with power initially, which I resolved by calling my HVAC professional ( no help from Google). Then the Wi-Fi stopped working a few months later and never was able to fix and now it has decided it no longer will charge on the Rc wire and after I plug it back into the base it reads my internal temperature as 102 degrees, turns on the AC and promptly dies again from lack of charge a short time later.
From reading the posts, none of these problems are unique to me but for some reason, rather than having an option to talk to a real live human being, I’m stuck reviewing posts for the community who, again all have the same complaints with little resolution. If it’s a known problem, at least have the decency to make a fix easy to find. My experiment with Google is at an end. I’ll use your search engine, but if this is how hardware is supported, I’m back with Honeywell. Now I need to figure out what to do with an expensive hockey puck.
