Nest Learning Thermostat with Heatpump, only blowing Hot Air in Hot and Cold Settings

Hi,

We have a Heat pump setup. Installed a Nest Learning Thermostat last fall and followed the installation instructions

Heat was working fine on Heat mode, but when Set the unit to cool and the unit started blowing hot air and temperature was continuously rising. Even when the thermostat was set to Off, i could feel warm air blowing from the vents. Only after turning off the breaker, the hot air from vent stopped. Even Eco mode was not working as it was only blowing hot air.
I also set the unit to off, turned off the heat pump/AC/furnace at the breaker box, waited 5 minutes, then powered everything back on.  Same result: warm air.

Interestingly, I also read the thread about going to settings | equipment | and looking at the heat pump, but those options don't exist.  But maybe it's for an older/different model nest?

Any suggestions appreciated
