Now someone please correct me if I’ve got this wrong or maybe I’m doing something wrong but! Why is it that I can set heating schedule on the thermostat and the app just fine, I can set the time, I can set the temp but it doesn’t actually do anything? I have to manually turn the boiler on each time.
So I tried leaving the boiler on but with the thermostat set to the lowest temp possible, in which case the scheduling will kick in at its specified time and temp.
Now this seems like a completely redundant feature as the idea of being able to schedule would be so that:
1) I don’t have to turn the thing on and off manually
2) I don’t have to keep the boiler on permanently
3) I don’t waste energy
can anyone enlighten to either what I’m doing wrong or how anybody who designed this feature still has a job?
many thanks!

Hi MrCarpenter,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the schedule of your Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, could you check if your address is setup correctly on the Google Home app? You can click on this link to learn more about this.
Thanks,
Edward
