Nest Stat not working

Hello,

My nest stat has suddenly displayed low battery and can’t connect to the internet. It’s hard wired so shouldn’t need to be charged. I’ve tested at the stat and there is 12v present.

I currently can’t use the stat as the power is too low and it keeps shutting down. It will not charge when I use a usb to try and charge the unit. 

Is this a problem with the unit and do I need to replace it?

Similar issues here.  Started last night.  Said no power. Did all the troubleshooting, flip breaker, pull out Rh wire, reinsert, flip breaker back on.  Spent couple hours with live chat. Had me switch Rh wire to Rc wire, and pull out C wire. Still no luck.  Said no internet. Internet is working. Telling me to go to settings on thermostat,  but, it does not have that option.

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear that the heating on your thermostat is not working. But don't worry; let's get that sorted out.

I'd like to ask you a few questions in order to gather more information about the concern and find the best way to fix it.

• What type of thermostat do you have?
• Do you see any “error code” on your thermostat? If yes, let me know what the exact error is.
• What type of HVAC system do you have?
• What wires do you have connected in your thermostat?

In the meantime, please try the following steps to discard any possibility with the WiFi network.

• To confirm that it's a WiFi issue and not a battery issue, disconnect the thermostat from the Wi-Fi network for 24 hours.
• If the battery doesn't drain, then the reason is likely a poor Wi-Fi connection, and the battery behavior is only a symptom.

Please let me know if you have any other relevant information.
