Nest Temp set schedule issue

I scheduled my Nest to cool my home to 73 degrees at 10pm. I just walked in the home at MIDNIGHT, the AC is running, but the temp inside is 77, and it will take an hour to get to the set temp of 73. Since it's set to cool to 73 at 10pm it should not be 77 at midnight. Help.

To reach a certain temperature in your home as efficiently as possible, it's important to make sure your system has had proper maintenance to be able to perform its best and that you have configured the thermostat correctly. The most important feature to have in mind is the "Early on" feature that will allow your system to precool or preheat so it can reach the scheduled temperature on time.
