Nest Thermostat 3rd generation

I've gone thru all toubleshooting suggestions and youtube.  My Nest App says thermostat is OFFLINE but clearly it is online and communicating with my router and network.

Thought it might be the app on my iphone but I removed it and reinstalled it. Also I can still communicate with and use my Nest Smoke and Fire Alarm through the app. I would appreciate any new ideas on what this is and how to fix it......Another question, does the nest app still work with the thermostat or do I need to Install and migrate to Google Home, which I really dont want to do???

Hello Marb1,

I understand the issue you're experiencing with your Nest Thermostat appearing offline despite being connected to your network. It's great that you've already tried troubleshooting suggestions and reinstalled the app on your iPhone. Since you can still communicate with your Nest Protector, it seems like there might be a specific issue with the thermostat integration.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

  1. Ensure that the thermostat is within range of a strong Wi-Fi signal. Poor signal strength might cause connectivity issues.
  2. Try restarting your thermostat. You can do this by going to the settings.
  3. On your Nest Thermostat, navigate to "Settings," then "Account Connection," and choose "Reset." This will reset the network settings, and you can set up the Wi-Fi connection again.
  4. Proceed by adding it back to the Nest app.
  5. Confirm that your Nest Thermostat is working with the app.

I hope this helps, and your thermostat will come back online soon.

Best regards,
Mark
