Is my wiring from old system compatible with Google Nest Thermostat? If Yes, then which wires, jumpers go where?

Also, I am not sure about 2nd Label choice so I choose Web Browser...

Also there is Black and Brown wires not being used on thermostat wall end, and probably not connected on other end.

Hello ZANEGIFT,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

As for the wiring, follow your existing thermostat's wiring setup to the Nest Thermostat's base for proper placement of wires. Each wire should correspond to a specific label.

  • Green wire > G terminal (fan)
  • Orange wire > O/B terminal (heat pump)
  • White wire > W terminal (heat)
  • Yellow wire > Y terminal (cool)
  • Blue wire > C terminal (24-volt common)
  • Red wire > R terminal (power)

Remember, safety first. Turn off the power to your HVAC system before making any connections. Good luck with your Nest Thermostat installation, and let me know if you need more help—we're always here!

Best regards,
Mark
