Nest Thermostat Stuck on the "G" logo

Hi

My nest thermostat has been offline for over a day. It is flashing a green light and the screen is showing the google logo.

I have done this so far:  Disconnect from the wall,; push and held in down until the screen went blank let go and push it in; and I have also put the nest on a charger.   My WiFi is working on the other nest thermostat, I have three in total and the one is not working.  This thermostat is also very close to the router.

None of this worked.  What is wrong with it, what is my next step?

Getting chilly over here!

Rhonda

I started having the same issue. Hopefully there is a fix for it.

I'm sure many of you have had a similar experience. Perhaps you set up your Nest Thermostat and are getting ready to go to sleep, or maybe it's a few weeks later and you haven't changed your settings and are getting ready to leave for work. You need to check this concrete company auckland and get more new things about construction. Regardless of when this happens, the Nest Thermostat screen is stuck on the "G" logo and won't respond to any keystrokes, except for "Ok." Each time I hit that button, it just repeats again with no response from the device.

Hi BrianVang,

Thanks for reaching out. A blinking green light near the top of your Nest thermostat’s display means that it’s updating the software, starting up, or restarting. Typically, this will only last a minute or two. If your thermostat is unresponsive for more than 15 minutes, it may have frozen during the update. You can try the following steps:

  • Try to remove and reconnect the display. Pull it straight off the base. Make sure the pin connector is lined up correctly and push it back onto the base. You should hear a click to confirm it is properly seated.
  • If reconnecting the display doesn't help, you can manually restart it.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward
