I have an existing case that has been excruciating to deal with.

I’ve had my unit for over a year and the faceplate started losing power and essentially sending/receiving signals to kick the ac on and off until the thermostat battery died. Come to find out, the backplate is the issue.
I have a temporary thermostat installed working with no issues for now, but Google sent a replacement of ONLY the faceplate which I sent back and every time I call in, I am advised that a senior support person is working my case. How much is involved with simple processing a warranty exchange? Why is there need to escalate this to be handled by someone I cannot simple speak to over the phone. It’s been well over a week and I have zero visibility into this situation.
