Nest Thermostat compatibility

Doccolo

I want to buy a smart thermostat but the wires of my current one don't even appear in the Nest compatibility checker.

Any ideas?

I have a heating system with a boiler supplied by district heating and radiators + a couple of electrical towel rails in the bathrooms.

Hi Doccolo,

Thanks for the photos and for getting back to us.

Wire labels such as Q1, Q2, Q3, and L indicate an incompatible system.

These systems usually only work with thermostats made by the same manufacturer. But some HVAC systems may also have the option to use standard heating system wires. Contact a local pro and have them check if your system can be rewired to be Nest compatible.

Best,
Mel
