Nest Thermostat reading wrong temperature

The first generation nest thermostat is reading the temperature incorrectly and rises more than 10 degrees than it actually is! I am using a C wire adapter.

C wire adapter: https://a.co/d/g4w13gn

Okay, i thought i should update this because I found the solution a while ago and it’s been working great

So i bought a new C wire adapter because the one i was using was getting noticeably hot, this is the new one that i got: https://a.co/d/6xSALih

Now for the wiring, all I did here was remove the second C wire end from the R and keep the other end in C. That’s all. I guess putting 2 wires in the R makes it malfunction? I don’t know but i hope this helps someone else.

Hey WizardEpidemic,

Apologies for the delayed reply. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. I found an article with some details on why you may be seeing a different temperature. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best regards,
Jake
