Nest Thermostat stuck on H71 screen

Hi,
How can i factory reset my Nest Thermostat 3rd gen. I bought this last week and it just does not connect to the Heat Link giving the H71 error. I want to reset the device, but i am just not able to get out of this screen. I tried to restart several times and by the time i can scroll to the settings menu the error again pop's up and i have no option but to again land up on that screen and i cannot get out of it.
Is there a way to wipe out/factory reset all settings without having to go into the menu?

Hi.. Thanks for you message. I managed to fix it. I believe the problem was because I had connected the thermostat to a 5ghz wifi. To resolve it i hard wired the thermostat to the heat link via the T1, T2 ports... Once connected i switched my thermostat to a 2.4ghz wifi and then i was able to connect wirelessly to the heat link

Hey @meetidnani,

Thanks for reaching out. Here are some steps to reconnect the thermostat to the Heat Link:

1. Bring the display and base closer to the Heat Link and make sure the boiler is not in between the Heat Link and thermostat - only if possible.
2. Turn off the router and other WiFi or Bluetooth devices ( router, speakers, cordless phones, baby monitor, etc. ).
3. Select Replace Heat Link.
4. Enter the entry key ( do not confirm it yet ) — you can find it at the bottom side of the Heat Link, near the screw.
5. Restart the Heat Link twice by pressing on the Nest button for 30 seconds each time.
6. Confirm entry key.

Let me know how it goes.

That sounds great. I'm happy to hear that everything is back on track now. If anything comes up, let me know.
