Nest app issue

Hello:

I just replaced my older nest thermostat with a newer one. For some reason it will not link or show up in nest app. It appears in google home and is working fine. Any help with getting it back on nest app would be appreciated.

The Google Nest Thermostat (mirrored display) can only be used with the Google Home App. The Nest app is slowly being phased out
