Nest app-- removal of hot water and heat boost

Hi, im looking at a nest thermostat for my s plan system boiler and started to see comments in the forum regarding nest app and moving to google home. My current thermostat has two buttons to boost either hot water or heat outside of a reconfigured schedulesay for 1,2 3 hrs after which it reverts back to either off or schedule. In some comments people have been asking this nest feature is no longer available - can someone advised

Also are you  forced now to use Google home as this seems to have removed this feature

Thanks

Hi there! The boost for hot water is available only in the Nest App, and you can boost it for the minimum of 30 minutes and also create a schedule for it. You can use the thermostat from either Nest or Google home, but the hot water features are available only in the Nest app. For heating you can also create a schedule, or turn it on manually or from the app. And on the Heat Link is the Manual Mode which can be activated by pressing the button from the middle of the Heat Link, and to turn it off you'll have to press it once more. The Manual Mode is turning the heating and the hot water on until you turn it off and it can only be used by pressing the button from the Heat Link.
