Nest, from Honeywell 5 wire

LaurenRegister

I’ve seen this topic a few times but my situation seems to be a bit different, I have three zones in my house and I purchased three mirrored nests. Compatibility checker also said that I am compatible. I have a five wire system, G, Y, W, R, RC.
I tried to hook up the Google nest and it’s not working. I watched a ton of videos and talk to an electrician who is my lover familiar with this issue. Do I have to run a common wire? Do I have to do some thing with my furnace? I’m just very confused as to the easiest way to fix this or who to hire if it’s outside my scope. Thanks for any help in advance!!!

With three different zones, you should have a zone controller installed cost to the furnace/air handler. Post a picture of it and how it is wired.

Q so much… I did post a photo and I believe this is the bit you’re looking for. Thanks for talking about this because I’m hopeful this will be a quick install at least semi-easy without having to hire it out. I just don’t want to have to re-purchase new tech either 🙂
