Just had a nest thermostats and new boiler installed, I have noticed that when the nest gets up to the set temperature it shuts the boiler off, which then causes the hot water to go off too? The boiler comes back on as soon as you move the thermostat up a degree so the central heating comes back on? Any ideas on how to stop the boiler going off so I can get hot water?

Do you have a hot water indirect tank for the domestic hot water? Basically is it a tank next to the boiler with a coil inside that needs the boiler to heat the tank?
If yes than whoever wired up the boiler did not set it up for the hot water tank to have priority and a temp sensor that turns on the boiler when the water tank drops below a certain temp.
OR
Is this a combi tankless wall mounted boiler/water heater?
If so than they did not set up the settings on the combi boiler for domestic hot water to have priority over the heat.

Thanks for reaching out here @Greenall56. I would be happy to try and assist.
Thank you for the suggestions @Houptee. Those all are great points and things to consider.
To clarify, do you have a system boiler with a separate hot water tank, and you have heating schedule controls on the thermostat or do you have a combi boiler, with no separate tank and only heating controls set on the thermostat?
