Nest learning blowing hot air when ac is turned on

Installed during winter not checking the AC. When choosing cool, the unit blows hot air. The heat wires are connected as W1 white wire, Orange to the W2. Yellow wire to the Y. Old thermostat was a honeywell

It sounds like you have a heat pump and not a conventional system.

Give this wiring a try

Orange - AUX to W2/AUX

Green - G to G

White O/B to OB

Blue - C to C

Yellow Y to Y1

Red - R to Rc (jumper to Rc not needed)

If you have a heat pump your white wire is an O instead of a W so goes to the Nest's O/B connector.
