Hi, looking for help.

my nest was working with what I believe is my condo units water based heat pump.

I reset all the settings to disconnect an old tenants app from the system.

cooling has not been working sense.

I’m assuming it’s a settings issue.
no wiring has changed.

Hi @Nesthomeuser416

You're right, a settings issue is the most likely culprit after resetting your Nest thermostat. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the cooling issue with your Nest and condo water-based heat pump:

Checking Nest Settings:

  1. Cooling Mode: Ensure your Nest thermostat is set to "Cool" mode. You might have accidentally switched it to "Heat" or "Auto" after the reset.
  2. Temperature Settings: Verify your target cooling temperature is set lower than the current room temperature. The Nest won't trigger cooling if the room is already cooler than your desired setting.
  3. Fan Settings: Make sure the fan is set to "Auto" or "On" during cooling. The fan helps circulate cool air throughout the room.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Restart Nest: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Try turning the Nest display off and on again.
  2. Check System Power: Ensure your condo's water-based heat pump system is powered on and functioning correctly. There might be a separate switch or control panel for the heat pump itself.

If for some reason you still have the same issue you can call our customer service line for further assistance.

Regards,

Mario.
