I have had my Nest Thermostat for many years without issue. Now it has stopped responding with just a small red light flashing on the device. Turning power off and then on has no effect. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey Mrneilh,
Sorry to hear about what's going on with your thermostat. I want to take a closer look at it.
Quick question — what type of Nest thermostat is this? Also, are there any recent changes made on your HVAC system or on the actual thermostat before this started happening?
If you have a Nest Learning Thermostat or a Nest Thermostat E, a blinking red light at the top of your thermostat’s display means that the battery charge is very low but it’s being charged. I suggest to wait until the battery is charged before you use it to control your heating or cooling. You may also speed up the charging by following the steps below:
Keep me posted.
