Nest pro that is pushing out hot air instead of cold air.

I have a Nest pro that is pushing out heat instead of cold air. I have a conventional electric furnace.  The white white is put in the W1 spot.

@HeatherL ,

Please help me to understand. Did you hire a Nest Pro to install your thermostat? For air conditioning you need a wire in the Y or Y1 connection.  A typical residential conventional HVAC system, uses:

R to bring power to the Thermostat.

Y sends power to the compressor relay to start cooling

W sends power to the furnace to start heating

G sends power to the indoor blower fan relay to turn on the fan

C is the Power Common to the R. Smart thermostats typically need this wire.

1. On your nest display, wake it up and go to SETTINGS and select it. 2. Rotate dial to EQUIPMENT and select it. 3. You will need to Select CONTINUE twice.  Now you will see a representation of your Nest Backplate and it will show you wires it currently detects. Upload a screenshot of that or list for me the wires in use. Thank you,
