We have a nest remote sensor purchased in May of this year. Today it stopped working. I've tried replacing the battery as well as resetting it by pulling the battery and removing it from the app, then re-adding it. It fails stating it cannot connect to the thermostat. I've tried multiple times and followed multiple suggestions found on the web.
I'm trying to find out if the warranty is still valid so that I can replace it. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Hi folks,
@pappy9, thanks for the help!
@steveshead, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, could you also try rebooting your Nest Thermostat before trying to add the Nest Sensor again?
Thanks,
Edward

We "bought" ours in May 2022 also when the new HVAC system was installed. In September, it disconnected from the internet. I researched the issue and found troubleshooting guides on the Nest website. After all troubleshooting failed to work, I contacted Nest through Google and told them what I had done. Google sent a new (not refurbished) replacement unit which solved the problem. The nest has a chip issue which causes problems.
Recommend that you troubleshoot and then contact them. Yes, your warranty should still be valid.

Thanks for the reply. Just to be sure are you talking about a Nest remote sensor, or the Nest thermostat itself? Our thermostat is fine, it's the remote sensor we're having issues with.
Cheers
Steve
