Nest repeated H1 error

Hi there,

My generation 2  Nest thermostat randomly disconnects with a H1 code, it’s 4-5 years old and nothing has changed as far as installation and wifi is concerned, I’ve factory reset it to no avail, is it time for a new one?

Hi @PeterA65!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest thermostat. I can see that it is randomly disconnecting and showing you the H1 error message. No worries, I’m glad to help you in this.

To further assist you, I will need some information. Here are some questions for you:

  • Do you have a Heat Link working with the thermostat?
    • If yes, what is the color of your Heat Link’s light?
    • What is the distance between the Heat Link and the Nest thermostat?
  • What is the make and model of your HVAC equipment?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, you can check the next article:  Troubleshoot Nest thermostat help codes.

I will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel.
