Nest setting

My Nest thermostat has worked for over a year, after changing my router the heatpump blows hot air when set to cool. Someone suggested ......

If your system starts to blow cool air when your Nest thermostat is in Heat mode (or if it blows warm air when its in Cool mode), change the settings for orientation of your heat pump.

When I setup the Nest it asks if it should be cooling or heating. Do I select heating next time since my cooling choice was not right. Or exactly what is changing the orientaion of the heatpump mean?

Thanks

Carl

Hello Carl,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

Changing the orientation of your heat pump should reconfigure your thermostat settings after the recent changes. With this, could you please tell us the type of Nest Thermostat you have? Also, did you perform a factory data reset when reconnecting to your new Wi-Fi network?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

Hi cwh1947,

Sounds great! I appreciate the steps you've taken to reconfigure its wires. I'm glad to hear it was sorted out. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread within 24 hours unless I can help out with anything else.

Regards,

Mark
