Hello,
My nest’s battery drains under heavy cooling usage. I’ve purchased a nest power connector but the AC controller board on the unit does not have a yellow terminal. The AC controller board terminal is labeled R,G(grey),T,C,C,C. The nest W1 is connected to “C” and my RH is connected to the outside compressor cable, White, compressor cable Green is connected to terminal G(grey) and Compressor Red cable is connected to terminal R.
My heat and cooling are separate units. I tried moving the nest G connection to the nest C connection but the cooling did not running correctly, so I moved it back.
The AC controller board is "CEPL130541-01 - Carrier"
Any suggestions on how to hook up the nest power connector?

Hello LB05,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.
I appreciate you purchasing and installing the Nest Power Connector to provide additional power to the Nest Thermostat. To better understand this, could you please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring and how you installed your Nest Power Connector? Also, gather your thermostat's power readouts in the Technical Info settings.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring
>> I'm not sure how to add a photo, I tried to drag photo into reply but that did not work.
>> Connections are as follows: Y1, G, Rc, W1, Rh
how you installed your Nest Power Connector?
>> I did not install the power connectors because the installation instruction show a "Y" connector which my controller board did not have.
Also, gather your thermostat's power readouts in the Technical Info settings.
>> Battery power was below 3.6V,
>> I'm not sure what the Vin power was since I disconnected the Nest.

Hi folks,
@LB05, thanks for the follow-up information. Please try to remove the thermostat display from its base, check if any connector pins are bent, and check if the thermostat wires are secured in their terminals and all the buttons are down. Then let me know how it goes.
Thanks for your help, Mark and Jenelyn.
Kind regards,
Zoe
