When speak of a motorized valve, how was the old thermostat connected to the motorized valve? Can you post a picture of the old thermostat bas with the wires connected and a picture of the nest base with the wires connected.

The new Nest thermostat is wall mounted and operating fine with app. It was installed by a technician with a decent fee. He told me to buy a new valve and promised to come back. But never showed up. Doesn't reply my phone call either. I need to operate the valve manually if I want heat which is not bad cause its summer in the UK. But after this guy worked on the system we also stop getting hot water. Now it looks like nothing wrong with the valve. I can see that 3 common blue 24v wires are connected together on the hub. I was not sure if its normal. The previous thermostat was working fine. I am afraid I did not take a picture. Thx

Unfortunately here the desert of southern California we have no need for boiler or hydronic heating systems.

Hi there @lppant and thanks for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear about this, but no worries, we'll find a solution together. Can you tell me if the issue started since the initial installation? Also is there any wiring message showing up on your thermostat's display?

Yes, it was working perfectly fine before the initial installation. The display does not show any error message. Since the initial installation, we have not had hot water. For heating, we need to operate the motorised valve manually to trigger the firing in the boiler. Thx

Hey @lppant. It sounds like the Heat Link is not wired properly. Do you hear a click sound coming from the Heat Link when you turn the heating on/off?

Yes, it looks like the sound is coming. I double-checked it by boosting hot water for the next 30 mins and hear the click.

That's good news. It means it's working as expected and it's sending the signal to your boiler. I'd recommend asking an installer to check the wiring.

Yes, that's a real challenge. The installer gave up. I mean the guy who installed the thermostat stopped responding to my calls. I have another guy who visited once and he promised to come back. Let's hope he will do the magic. Thx
