Nest thermostat 2nd gen no response

My nest thermostat  went blank yesturday and I don't know what to do to get my heating working again. There is nothing I can do to the unit. I have used a USB and plugged it in been on for 24 hours now but nothing apart from a picture of what looks like a phone with a house inside it. The app just says its offline . It won't do anything on the app.
