Nest thermostat 3gen - Offline for other Google Home members

Hello

I've got something going on with my Thermostat.

 

I have the registered account for Nest App
I'm also home admin for google Home app

On my android phone the thermostat is working like it should on all apps (Nest & Google Home)

But on my roommates IOS device the thermostat shows as offline in the Google Home app.

I have two nest thermostats. Also the Nest app on my phone. When I try and add product (nest pro) that was just sent to me, because the FIRST 3 Nest Thermostats failed under warranty. Just tried to add the new one to my nest app and all i can come up with is a six digit number for the code? Downloaded the Google  Home app. Now I have an app that is nothing like my Nest App.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the home members controlling the Nest Thermostat using the app. I'd love to know more about this. To isolate the issue, could you remove them as home members and add them again?

Thanks a lot for your answer.

I indeed tried to remove all home members and add them again.

 

Also rebooting the Thermostat itself didn't resolve the issue.

Hi Edward

 

The thing is when i try to add someone it tells me to go and do that from the google home app.

My roommate is already part of that home.

Even tried deleting and adding the person a couple of times.
