Using the Nest Thermostat, if the home is set to "away"/ECO mode when a rush hour starts, the thermostat will not resume normal rush hour temperatures/behavior after coming home. For example, when my home app is set to away, my thermostat is in ECO mode, which defaults to 88 deg F. Then a rush hour starts. Then, I come home, set my home app back to "home", the thermostat leaves eco mode, but the temperature is still set to 88 degree F and does not change. I expect that it would revert to normal rush hour behavior (which is typically 76 deg F for me). So now I'm stuck at 88 deg F and I have to terminate the rush hour so the A/C will turn on. The older Nest Learning thermostat did not do this. Can you please fix this?

Hey there Alan Cohen 9347,
I'm sorry for the late response, but I wanted to hop in here to help. I'm sorry to hear the frustrations around ECO mode and Rush hour and how they are not cooperating, I'm sure this is annoying, but I'm happy to look into this.

From what I gather from your original post, it sounds like they are working as designed. The ECO mode is on while you are away, and even when you get back home, since Rush Hour is occurring, it still stays at a higher temp because the AC is not automatically turned on and would need to be manually turned on due to it being during that Rush Hour time period.

If  you're not a fan of this, then the best suggestion would be to not participate in Rush Hour as you would need to manually change this.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
