Nest thermostat e help

I set up the nest thermostat according to the video. At first the issue was that the red wire wasn’t power, so I looked it up and a solution was to change the blue common wire to the brown one. When I did that the red power was working but now the common wire wasn’t getting power. I contacted google support and their solution was to unplug the common wire and use the nest without it. I removed the common wire and now the nest says that the red wire has no power again. Can anyone assist me in this? @Nest
