Nest thermostat faulty

Tina5

My nest is set to heat.  The compressor outside was running, but it is only set to heat. Then I disconnected the compressor and the furnace was running the fan constant between heating. I checked all settings. I checked all wires themselves. If I disconnect the thermostat from base everything still kicks on. If I disconnect wires from the Nest base nothing runs....? I'm trying to find a Help number, but no luck so far just an endless loop on the web page help.... Very frustrated!!

Is this a new install thermostat or one that was working correctly?

If it is newly installed, post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here

It is an existing unit worked fine for a long time, then suddenly turned on compressor and fan...I spoke to a help line at Google and they troubleshot it, confirmed it was a bad circuit board then told me too bad, it's out of warranty...I purchased through ComEd, trying to find receipt to check for sure, but it's frustrating that it isn't prorated or anything. It was so expensive to only last this long...
