My Nest thermostat history shows no usage but it is still heating even when I turn it off. It was set to 67 degrees, 36 degrees outside and the temp would not go below 72 in the house. The only way to cool it down was to open windows or turn on the air conditioning. I tried turning off the unit completely but it didn't help.

Hi micky34238,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
Here's a few things that we can check to further isolate the issue. Check that you have selected the right heating type and source in the settings > equipment > select the right heat type and source. Verify the email address logged in to your Nest app or Google Home app and make sure that it is connected to your Wi-Fi.
I hope it helps,
Ryan
