The original nest thermostat I had failed. I replaced with another 5/24/24. It has not worked reliably and goes to away mode despite the feature being turned off. Add in that’s it mandatory to migrate to google home for a single device, lack of support, and the challenge and frustration of getting (bad) support and I’ll be returning it. So it’s defective and the google home requirement makes it quite inferior to the one I had to replace. Throw in $175 cost tag for weeks of frustration and it’s buyer beware.
