Nest thermostat offline

My husband installed our new nest thermostat. He added the device under the google home app. He invited me to join through an email link from the app. I joined and have the nest device under my google home app.  However, when I look at the nest thermostat under the app it says it’s offline.  When my husband opens his google home app it shows the nest thermostat working.  He does have an android that he set it up with and I have an iPhone. Please help! Thanks.

Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay. I want to dig deeper into this. 

A few questions — what type of Nest thermostat is this? Have you tried force closing your Google Home app then reopening it back? Also, what iOS version is your phone running on? Restarting it might also help.
