Nest thermostat showing error code e74

Upstairs thermostat wasn't linking to phone. My son tried to help. Wired the black and yellow wires that I previously did not have plugged in. System now shows error code e74 on both upstairs and downstairs thermostats. Changed upstairs wiring to original setting and error code e74 still showing on both thermostats. Checked breaker box, cleaned drain line, still no help. Any suggestions??

Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help. 

I understand that thermostat issues and error codes can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help. 

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?
